Griffin Baking

Olivia is 29 years of age and has two degrees in Business Administration. She first attended Southwest Community College and then furthered her education at Alcorn State University; she received a full academic scholarship at both colleges. While at SMCC, she was the Co-Editor for the school’s newspaper "PineBurr" and also the cartoonist for the newspaper where she placed 2nd place in the state of Mississippi with her drawings. Also at SMCC, she was the Co-Editor for the school's yearbook "Whispering Pines". At Alcorn, she was a part of Delta Mu Delta and was a football manager for both years. While at Alcorn, she also won second place in a Business Plan competition; she graduated with the high distinction, Summa Cum Laude (4.0 gpa).  

Olivia started baking around her ninth-grade year in high school as a way to make extra pocket change. It started off as small treats such as cupcakes, cookies, and brownies to sell at school. By her tenth-grade year, she went from 3-4 orders a week, to 5-8 orders per day. What started off as small treats quickly went to small cakes by her eleventh grade. Pushing her knowledge and skills even more, by her twelfth-grade year, she was making birthday, anniversary, and other celebration cakes. When she went off to college, the baking did not stop. She traveled home almost every weekend to keep perfecting her craft while gaining a bigger clientele.
